God’s Guiding Scepter

Haaaaapy new year world changers, you reading this post is enough proof God has been good to you and He has kept you to see another year. We all have to cultivate an attitude of gratitude, 2020 being behind was a year that had its fair share of challenges and you and I being alive, we still have unfinished business to do that God requires us to accomplish for His glory during these unprecedented times. When seasons and times change, we need to ask God for His wisdom that will help us in this time. God will not rebuke you for asking Him for wisdom.

Truth be told, as children of the kingdom of God, we have to be wiser than the children of this world by the way we talk, the way we act and the way we do business for the glory of God to be evident in our own lives since times have changed and we can’t do things as usual. So, are you prepared to put God first with your time, your commitment, your passion and your call? Are you prepared to say Yes Lord, and be willing to seek after His wisdom and applying it appropriately? I believe everyday there are real life opportunities that come along, which are avenues for us to apply God’s wisdom to get results that will make us extra ordinary in our decision making and dealings.
Wisdom is the principal thing therefore get wisdom and in all your getting, get understanding. Proverbs 4:7. God’s Word teaches wisdom Is the number one thing we should pursue in life – not human wisdom, but the wisdom that comes from God. So how do we get God’s wisdom? How can we know the difference between His wisdom and natural wisdom? And why is wisdom so important anyway? Instead of wearing yourself out in the pursuit of success, if you understand the power of prioritizing wisdom you will be empowered to see your way through to a successful and fulfilling life. Rather than trying to get rich, Get Wisdom!
The wisest and richest man in history said it this way: “Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit.” Proverbs 23:4. You should never question if God desires to bless you, He can do so much to build your life, but you can tear it down through a lack of wisdom. Even though God is able to restore what has been stolen or lost to you, without wisdom, whatever you may gain will be torn down. Proverbs 14:1 “A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands.”
While there’s nothing wrong with wanting to get ahead in life, the key is to make sure you have the correct priorities. God’s wisdom being operational in your life, will always override the wisdom of this world and the opinions of men. For all the effort you may be spending trying to get what you want or need, the answer is to change your focus and get wisdom. This will mean a paradigm shift, a fundamental change of thinking and living. So, where does God’s wisdom begin? Where do you start? Solomon leaves no doubt when he wrote in Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
Here is the catch: – The ‘fear of the Lord’ is not a shivering fear but an awe-filled reverence for Who God is. Basically, if you fear God, you have decided that nothing in life is more important than knowing Who He is. As you get along with your daily activities this year, may the wisdom of God be your guiding scepter that will distinguish you from the wisdom of this world. Always have this habit of asking God every day to give you His wisdom and be willing to apply His wisdom even in the most difficult situations that might cost you somethings or people falling off from the radar of your life.
I have penned down Ask for Wisdom, Priorities in life and stop wasting your season which are good reads to connect with this particular post.
