Keep on saying it until….

Mark 10:46-52
Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging.  And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.”
And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus. So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him,  “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.
In the above context of scripture, we have blind Bartimaeus who did not keep quiet, in a quest to receive His healing from Jesus. There are several lessons we can glean from this particular context and one of them is HIS ATTITUDE.

His attitude proves to us :-

1.He was not subject to people’s opinions The more people asked him to keep quiet, the more he cried out louder “Son of David, have mercy on me!” . In life, there are people who are anointed to pull you down, to discourage you and they always have a tendency, of painting a picture of how you can’t do it.
But here is my challenge to you, the more they try to pull you down, the more you get your focus more on what you are supposed to do ,the more they tell you it has never been done, the more you get the energy of pursuing your dreams and goals ,the more they try to discourage you, the more you encourage yourself in the Lord.
Unless we choose to be bold in faith and passionate in what we were created to do,trust me on this, we will never fulfill our assignment, based on people’s opinions and nothing will ever get done.
2.He had faith: His faith was his driving fuel, to believe Jesus had the ability to restore his sight. Vs.52 Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.
Your faith in God is the only fuel, for you to believe the impossible despite of your current situation proving otherwise.
3.His desperation for healing, ignited his bold move to cry out to Jesus. Your desperation for God to turn your life around, is the stepping stone for you to be bold enough, to stand on God’s promises in regards to that situation, which seems impossible Luke 1:37 For with God nothing will be impossible
Do you desire to walk in what you were created to walk in ??Start confessing it loud and declare what God says in His word, towards your situation. You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; o light will shine on your ways Job 22:28
Parting Shot

Stop relying on others to do what you were assigned to do ,you were created to make things happen. Be you, do you and allow others to follow. Remember, you are the only one that can make it happen and it all starts with you believing in your mind, nothing is impossible with God.
