There are mixed reactions all over concerning the new Kenyan shillings notes that were launched few weeks ago. I have come across some of the denominations and they are crispy new, clean and there colors as per denominations are beautiful. As I pen down this post, no matter people’s perceptions whether positive or negative, the value for Kshs.100, Kshs.200, Kshs.500 or Kshs.1000 be it the new note or the old note the value is still the same.
Money changes hands every day ,from a drug dealer, to a corrupt person, a prostitute, a contractor, a traveler ,a tither and into our hands on a daily basis right!!!However no matter the hands that handle a particular note, it’s value does not change, if it is a thousand it still remains a thousand.
The same applies with us as God’s children, yes, we have made mistakes, we have messed up big time, we have given up along the way, we have let God down too many times but do you know our value does not depreciate because of what we did or what we will do? Do you know in His eyes you are His most precious possession that He created? Do you know your value in His heart does not change?
I just love what the psalmist says in Psalms 139:13-16For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, and skilfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in your book, they all were written, the days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. His thoughts towards you were valuable even before you were conceived in your mother’s womb and His thoughts are still undisputed due to the value, He has for you. He values you, yes you.
Stop devaluing yourself when God in His throne of Grace highly values you, highly values your uniqueness, values the gift of life He has granted you and He values you just the way you are. Yes, He hates sin but in spite the fall of man, He still sent His only son to die for our sins so that you and I can have a close relationship with Him. Can you fathom how valuable you are in the Heart of God? For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. 1 Peter 1:18-19
God did not need to create you, He chose to create you for His own enjoyment, you exist for His own benefit, purpose, glory and His own delight. So, no matter what you are currently facing I just want to remind you, you are special, you are loved, you are more than a conqueror and God Himself has good and perfect plans for you because He values you my beloved.

Dear Heavenly Father, your love is extravagant, beautiful and Holy. Thank you for sealing me in your love, for choosing to love me and for planning for my life from the very first breath.
