A Wonderful Father

Some people have enjoyed great relationships with their Fathers since childhood; others never had Fathers to start with, while others just knew of a Father who never acted like one. A Father figure is very important to any child, he is a provider, protector, teacher, disciplinarian, a leader and the list can go on and on,to illustrate who a father is. While growing up my Parents managed to enroll me to a good kindergarten and most kids in that school, used to be dropped off by their dads, who used to work for the military. Army vehicles were so common and their dads always used to wear their beautiful uniforms, which was a fascination for me at a tender age.
As for me!!! my Dad was not in the Army but I really used to admire these kids, reason being their Dads were soldiers. We used to have this funny idea, if you dare try to mess up with those kids, their Dads would shoot you .So, along the way when asked where my Daddy used to work , I always used to answer with full confidence He is a soldier. That’s what I thought all Dad’s should be ‘Protectors’ and nobody would mess up with me or my younger sister. It was such a funny fad in school but from a young age, I knew a father should protect His children, just like soldiers protect their countries. Am grateful to God for my biological Father, who has protected us through His actions, even though he has never worked with the Army.
Not everyone has had a wonderful relationship with his/her Father, some have faced rejection, others have been physically, emotionally, sexually abused by their own biological  fathers and they have lost the whole idea of who a Father should be.
You might have not had a good father,or Father in general  but there is someone who is greater than your biological Father and that is our HEAVENLY FATHER.Am forever grateful to God, for giving me such wonderful biological Parents and Spiritual Parents, who love me and desire the best for me but along the way I came to realize, they can’t sort all my issues, they can’t make me complete, only God my Heavenly Father can sort and fix me where nobody else can.
The same ought to apply to anyone who does not have parents or a father figure to look up to. There is one who is greater than all and that is Our Heavenly Father. You may not see Him face to face but He is real and such a loving Father. He will fill that void in you, He will heal your wounds, complete you , comfort you, Instruct you, protect you, provide for you, correct you with love, if only!!! you would let Him be the Father you never had in life.
Recently, while on assignment reaching out to young teenage girls through Beautiful Queens Out-Reach, I came across young beautiful girls from 9 to 13 years of age, in a certain school. They were not in a hurry to leave the school premises yet the time to go home had passed by. They just hanged around within the school and later on go home in the evening.
This was not normal for me , I recall very vividly while in elementary school, the last lesson for me was such a looong lesson, I used to wait eagerly for the bell to go off, so I could rush home. I asked the teacher in charge, why some kids were not willing to go home? her reply was quite saddening. These kids preferred to stay in school because that’s where they found peace and comfort. At home their parents were either drunkard’s, drug addicts, some were coming from single homes, where their mothers were prostitutes, while others their homes were battle fields. Their parents daily language was war and the only way they could relent their frustrations, was through their own children.
As young as this kids were, they never understood the real meaning of being loved, protected, nurtured or mentored. Looking in the eyes of these beautiful young girls, God still had a perfect plan for them despite of what they were going through at such a tender age.
In Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations. One thing i have to learn in my journey of faith is,God uses the least expected ways and people like you and me, when we obey His instructions, to channel love to vulnerable  children in a special way.God can give you a burden ,an idea or an opportunity, to be a conduit of hope to vulnerable children. How will they know God loves them, unless we spread out and reach forth to them, with the Love of Christ? Contemplate on that.
Our Heavenly Father will never treat you in demeaning ways like people close to you have. He knows your future, He understands what you are going through , He knows what is best for you and He can see the end result when you can’t. All those problems, heartaches, difficulties, delays and everything that makes you ask “why” will one day be clear in the light of God’s love. But for now, keep on learning on how to trust God.
My heart goes out to anyone who has been rejected and abused as a child by his own Parents .Am praying for you to let go of any form of anger and bitterness, so that you can take hold of God’s love and walk in forgiveness. You can’t take on the new that God wants to bring in your life, while you are still holding on what you had no power to control or prevent from happening to you. Only God has the ability to teach you on how to forgive the unforgivable, embrace those who hurt you with the love of Christ and be at a place where you can receive love from other people.
Don’t allow the cycle to continue in your next generation by treating your children unfairly because of what you went through. Give God a chance to heal you and allow Him to be the Father you never had. This is the only way you will be able to raise your own children with Love, care and teach them on the fear of God . Your willingness and effort to allow God to change your lineage, will have such a powerful impact in this generation and generations to come after you.Don’t allow the way other people treated you, determine your worth and value.
No amount of revenge will ever mend what happened to you , only God can fix the inside of you and change those who mistreated you. God is after changing souls, He does not desire anyone one to perish in hell. If He can change those who mistreated you through you, how great is your reward?? Jesus gives us freely what we struggle to earn from people and that is freedom from condemnation ,judgment and rejection.

Take Note:-The choices your parents made whether good or bad, you had no right over them but you have legal right over your own choices. You have the will to choose which kind of life you desire to live, you have the right to choose what kind of a husband or wife you will be, You have the right to choose which kind of a parent you will be and you have the right to choose the kind of person you want to be as a whole. Nobody has the power to choose that for you but you.

Whatever God wants you to do,He will take full responsibility for providing for it to be done,He will align your steps with the right people and He will do what no man can do, to give you the kind of life that He desires for you. Their is absolutely no one or anything that can take His place, as your Heavenly Father. Knowing Him and entrusting your life to Him, is the best decision you will ever make.He will see you through it all and not halfway through.

Mirror On who Your Heavenly Father is

Psalm 68:5-6 (MSG)

Father of orphans, champion of widows, is God in his holy house. God makes homes for the homeless, leads prisoners to freedom but leaves rebels to rot in hell.

Matthew 7:11

Don’t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This isn’t a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in. If your child asks for bread, do you trick him with sawdust? If he asks for fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? As bad as you are, you wouldn’t think of such a thing. You’re at least decent to your own children. So don’t you think the God who conceived you in love will be even better?

1 John 3:1

What marvelous love the Father has extended to us! Just look at it we’re called children of God! That’s who we really are. But that’s also why the world doesn’t recognize us or take us seriously, because it has no idea who he is or what he’s up to.

Galatians 4:5-7

But when the time arrived that was set by God the Father, God sent his Son, born among us of a woman, born under the conditions of the law so that he might redeem those of us who have been kidnapped by the law. Thus we have been set free to experience our rightful heritage. You can tell for sure that you are now fully adopted as his own children because God sent the Spirit of his Son into our lives crying out, “Papa! Father!” Doesn’t that privilege of intimate conversation with God make it plain that you are not a slave, but a child? And if you are a child, you’re also an heir, with complete access to the inheritance.
