It was a normal weekday morning,had my morning devotion, prepared myself for work and within no time, I was out of my house, donning a blue skirt suit, paired it with black doll shoes and tagged along one of my favorite pink handbag. I walked scurry towards the bus terminus with slew of people in tow, including students who were rushing to catch the moving bus, considering there were several buses lined up, hooting like crazy and touts shouting at their roof tops, persuading passengers to board the buses.

It’s usually crazy but being a Kenyan, you have to get accustomed to this morning culture, which has been in place since time in memorial. Within ten minutes, I had secured a comfortable sit next to the window, in one of the buses and no time the bus took off. As I looked outside the window grasping the idyllic nature of trees and beautiful homes, my mind was pondering on how I would sort out some stuff for the day, until the driver switched on the radio and interrupted my moments.
This totally got me off guard, since all I wanted was a quiet ride to work, which was short lived. The radio interruption was somewhat intriguing, as the topic being discussed on air, was hard to fathom. As I listened to the lady being interviewed on phone by the presenters, her predicament is what got my attention.
She was actually seeking advice from random radio presenters and listeners, on the way forward on how to walk out of an awkward relationship, which she had intentionally entangled herself into. get the key word “intentionally”. She was a woman of great means ,she was divorced ,she had grown up children but she could not hold herself together, when it came to dating younger men “Ben 10’s”.who in actual sense, she was financing there lifestyles.
Her proclivities caused her, her marriage, her children, great relationships and in all the mix, she did not want to get herself out of her lustful desires. As per her statement, she was doing very well in her career in the co-operate world, she had some influence in her circle however, her private life was a mess and that’s when it dawned on me, her desire for sweet things in dead things, made her a miserable woman.
No matter how much she earned, the big cars she drove, the sophisticated houses she owned or the random Ben 10’s she dated, her affections for sweet things in dead things, perverted her consciousness of being a virtuous woman. Does it mean that’s the kind of life God had ordained for her, before she was formed in her mother’s womb? Absolutely not.
God had such amazing plans for her but her life choices along the way, blinded her conscious of becoming a woman of valor. One thing I know for sure is, the gifts of God are without repentance, she was gifted in her skills but she allowed the enemy to use her skills, her influence and her wealth for all the wrong reasons.

Judges 14:8-9
After some time, when he returned to get her, he turned aside to see the carcass of the lion. And behold, a swarm of bees and honey were in the carcass of the lion. 9 He took some of it in his hands and went along, eating. When he came to his father and mother, he gave some to them, and they also ate. But he did not tell them that he had taken the honey out of the carcass of the lion.
While meditating on the above context of scripture, a lot popped into my spirit of how we can be content in settling for sweet things in life yet they are engulfed in dead things. Samson knew very well he was a nazirite and coming into contact with dead things was prohibited, however honey in the carcass of the lion, caused him to compromise his Nazirite vow. Along the way, we learn how he had uncontrolled affections which caused him, his strength as the strongest man on Earth, his sight, his freedom and later on his life.
The enemy enticed samson’s fleshy desires because he knew what he carried within him, was a treasure that God would use to deliver the children of Israel from the philistines Joshua 13:5 For behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. And no razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb; and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.
The enemy knows what you carry within you, he knows your impact, he knows if you reject his ways ,your finances will be channeled towards good causes.He knows your influences which ought to be grounded on God, will shape destinies ,he knows your positive impact to your society as a virtuous woman, he knows your giftings will shape the world and that’s why he is always looking for means to blind your conscious, by sweetening your disobedience, in order to delay your repentance.

Today I challenge all Beautiful Queens in the making, set your affections on things above and not on things of this world. You are anointed as a woman of substance, whose mandate is to mold your family from a place of wisdom and love, use your influence to impact your sphere of influence,use your giftings to change the world and have a voice that will be backed up by God.
Our choices as women of valor, must become fully influenced by the power of the Holy Spirit. We must stand at the counsel of God, to understand our authority, our power as women, our influence as women and as nation/generation carriers.
Elegant Fashion does not make us godly women, whom we get married to does not make us godly women, the positions we hold in government, politics, leadership roles or in the corporate world ,does not make us a godly women neither the houses we live in make us godly women.What makes us godly women, is what we are able to withstand. Ability to stand firm and never loose the solidity of our foundation ,come hell in high waters ,fully aware in Christ alone we stand and all other grounds are sinking sand.
Godly women do not retaliate, they don’t seek revenge ,they don’t get bitter ,they don’t slander nor do they bring other people down.They work with God in becoming the best version of themselves, they intentionally bring out the best in other people and they use their gifts/ influence,to make the world a better place.
Your purpose is far greater than you and how you wish to be known, depends on you making the right volition, founded on the heart and the mind of God but not what is acceptable to mere men.

The mercies of God are new each and every morning and whenever you cry out to God and repent, He is right there to wash you with blood of Jesus and bring you back into your rightful position.
He is more than willing to deliver you from any yoke, any bondage, any addiction that is holding you from experiencing the fullness of life in Him.He wants to take your mess and turn it around into a message of hope, to the lost world for His glory. Give Him a chance to satisfy your longings with His unconditional love.Make the best choice and be hidden in Christ ,for your anointing, your influence, your reputation and your seed to be protected from the contamination of this world.
