Preparation is key, for any farmer who desires a bumper harvest. They plan the field’s way ahead before the onset of rains. They do so with a full assurance, there will be rains and the rains will facilitate a bumper harvest. I have never heard a farmer who awaits a bumper harvest, when he has not prepared his field. They put in place all the required procedures from plowing the field, use of right fertilizers, to planting the seeds and wait with an anticipation ‘it will rain’. Nothing just happens!!! From farming, to operating a successful business, running an organization to excelling in your career, preparation MUST be put into consideration, with an anticipation things will flow and work out.
Using the above illustration, it’s very clear, God created everything with an amazing strategy in place owing to the fact that, He is a God of order. He never told Man in the Garden of Eden, to multiply and be fruitful with no agenda in place. This also should apply to us, we all need to prepare with complete anticipation, God will do what He has already promised us. In Matthew 25:1-13 we have the parable of the 10 virgins, all were anticipating for the bridegroom but only five were prepared to meet Him. How were the wise virgins prepared??? Matthew 25:3-4 For when the foolish took their lamps, they did not take any (extract)oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil along with their lamps.They prepared beforehand to have oil because they would need it ,when the bridegroom arrives. They never waited for the last minute rush like the foolish virgins, who missed out on the bridegroom for the feast. Matthew 25:10-11 But while they were going away to buy oil, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut and locked. Later the others also came, and said, ‘Lord, Lord, open (the door) for us.
In Genesis 6:13-22 we also have another scenario where preparation was vital, in fulfilling God’s purpose here on Earth. Noah was just a simple man, who stepped out to obey God in building the Ark, in preparation for the floods. His obedience to God’s word,was vital in fulfilling God’s purpose as well as, saving His life and the lives of people who were close to Him. Using the above scriptures to elaborate my point, you can’t keep on wishing, on attaining this or that yet you are doing nothing about it. Preparation for a successful marriage, any business venture, ministry or career, requires patience, prayer, faith,hope,acquiring the right skills, knowledge and having relationships, which will push you forward and not backwards. It’s so sad to miss out on your season like the five foolish virgins because you are ill prepared or you mishandled an opportunity. Despite of our weaknesses in Isaiah 64:8′ ‘Yet, O Lord, You are our Father;We are the clay, and You our Potter,And we all are the work of Your hand.God is our potter, while we are the clay . He will never tell you to do something and fail to equip you for that assignment .He will always show you the road map but it’s your mandate to get ready and pursue what He has deposited within you.
Take Note:-You have to step out in Faith,which is the key ingredient for breakthroughs by intentionally making preparations, for things you cannot see with your physical eyes but you believe in God’s time they shall come to fulfillment.Let’s be real here without sugar coating ,at times we want things to make sense before we step out in faith but with God!!! Faith is our currency to unlock our bumper harvest.You can’t expect God’s plans to unfold in your life,while you are just wishing things would just happen.You play a big part in paving the way, for God’s miracles to unfold in your life!!!

God will give us instructions, when we spend time with Him in prayer on what to do, where to go, where to invest, whom to marry or get married to, to where you need to relocate for His purpose over our lives. Prayer is one way where God speaks and gives us directions, while reading His word, books or going back to school, increases knowledge to handle different seasons in our lives. Looking at the worldly system we are so used to, preparing ourselves for different seasons. From cold seasons, rainy seasons to sunny seasons which have been classified in the western countries as summer, winter, spring and autumn .You will never find any one dressed for winter, while its summer or the other way round. The weather man prepares us beforehand, what to expect in a few months’ time and we prepare ourselves on how to dress, to accommodate the upcoming season. if that’s the way we handle and prepare, for natural seasons which we are used to , year after year, why then should we prepare less for God’s visitation in our lives, which is far much important than the natural season’s??

You intentionally prepare your mindset to handle the next season by working on your character; attitude and your confessions must align with what you are getting ready for.
