Courage To Decide

Happy new month Beautiful people, at some point in your life you will face crossroads in decision making. You may face one when considering switching jobs, settling down to start a family, starting a business, relocating, or going back to school. You may be facing one right now as you are dealing with changes in your personal life, however, decisions founded on the will of God separates men and there is an oil that comes with separation. The weight of any man is buried in the decisions he makes when no one is watching him and many times, God allows you to be lonely so that you can be HOLY.
Let’s look at it from this perspective, if it takes a man to be married to be responsible, we will not have many married irresponsible men scattered all over the place who are renting houses for their girlfriends, while their wives are still at home? When a man is due for marriage, he should get married. But don’t tell me to get married because you want me to escape fornication? Marriage is not an escape route into a responsible life. What you cannot control when you are single has the power to control you even when you are married.
No matter how beautiful or handsome your spouse is, if you are still struggling with lust! This demon will still try to bring you down. How I pray the Lord will teach us how to die to flesh and live holy as He is holy. Joseph was not married before he ran away naked from Potiphar’s wife bedroom? It was not a marital ring on his finger that made him refuse that gesture, but because he knew the future God had planned for Him will be messed up by a single decision. And Potiphar’s wife soon began to look at him lustfully. “Come and sleep with me,” she demanded. But Joseph refused. “Look,” he told her, “my master trusts me with everything in his entire household.  No one here has more authority than I do. He has held back nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How could I do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against God.” Genesis 39:7-9
I believe with every fiber within me, as believers in the body of Christ we ought to allow the presence of God to mark us not only in us but on us ,that people in our work places, in our schools, in our neighbourhoods and in our own homes, may witness public demonstration of God through our actions, our words and our life styles. We have to be willing and intentional to live in HOLINESS despite all the wickedness going on, not from a place of a self-righteous attitude but from a place of surrendering our lives, our will and motives at the feet of Jesus ,who will enable us run with endurance the race ahead of us. God wants to raise a generation of men and women that will love God where no one is watching them. God wants to raise a breed that doesn’t appear holy only when they are in the presence of people in authority but they are still holy in private.

Take Note:-Responding to the Lord’s call to holiness is a great source of strength and consolation. I mean, holiness is a call to be like God-it includes acknowledging your place in Him, His role in your life and applying the entirety of His Word. John 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. So, Holiness is not self-direction rooted in pride and ambition but divine guidance by the Holy Spirit.

Don’t allow the world to influence your actions and words but instead, influence the world with the truth and the light of Christ that is already resident within you. Don’t allow the giftings of God turn your spiritual eyes blind that you end up missing out on your eternal perspective. Matthew 7:21-23  “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’  And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Truth be told, you can be in your prayer closet waging war against the schemes of the enemy but if you live your prayer closet and still flirt with sin! The enemy you prayed against will still make himself comfortable in your own life.

God is waiting on you when no one is watching. If you can succeed in the secret place, you will be a commander of the supernatural. There is someone reading this post now and Heaven is saying that you are due for manifestation, but you have not made a decision yet:-
  • Decision to walk away from toxic relationships.
  • Decision to walk away from destructive habits.
  • Decision to seek after His heart.
  • Decision to let go of anything that is not in line with the His will.
But I know there is someone struggling with making the right decisions not because you don’t know what is right but there are yokes which need to broken and being broken, you have to be willing and desperate to have an encounter with the word of God and you are made clean by the word of God- John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
Please hear me out my beloved, God is able to use our good choices to accomplish His mighty purposes. Consider the impact made by the choices of our spiritual ancestors. Abraham refused to play it safe and instead chose to believe God’s promises and leave his homeland. Joshua chose to fight when God told him to conquer the Promised Land. Esther chose to speak up for the Jewish people, even when doing so could put her in harm’s way. Joseph chose to live in purity because of his dreams, yes the promises seemed to tarry due to all manner of challenges he faced but that did not stop God from accomplishing what He had already declared.
God created us to make choices, and he’s designed the world in such a way that those choices have consequences both positive and negative. Thankfully, God promises to instruct you on the way you should go and guide you as you follow him.Psalm 32:8- I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.
As you make choices in your own life, remember to:
  • Keep close to God and attune your heart to his plans. Ask God for wisdom in knowing what will bring him glory and bring you joy.
  • Avoid procrastination. Don’t avoid making important decisions doing so can cause you to miss out on opportunities.
  • See the value in your small, everyday choices.
  • Make the most of each day. Identify your bad habits, and make the effort to replace them with healthful, God-honoring habits.
  • Don’t be afraid to own your mistakes. Apologize when you need to, and don’t lose hope just because something didn’t work out the way you planned.
God values our obedience so much that he gives us choices. He will accomplish his purposes no matter what, but he invites us into the process in this adventure of faith. It’s my prayer, conviction will overflow in our hearts to live a life of holiness be it in private or in public, for Christ to make Himself public in our lives. 1 Peter 1:15- But just as He who called you is Holy, so be holy in all you do.
I have penned down Stand for Something , Good does not mean God is in itand Sweet Things in Dead Things which are good reads to connect with this post.
