The Lord Is your Keeper

A lot is happening around the world and this whole issue of Corona Virus is something most people in my generation have never witnessed. International media houses are busy collecting data on how nations are locking down their borders and the latest reports of how many people are getting infected or succumbing to this disease. This kind of news has created fear and anxiety all around the world but one interesting thing we all need to understand is, nothing gets God by surprise. Daniel 4:35 (NKJV) All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand, Or say to Him, “What have You done?”I believe God has His own way of showing forth His Sovereignty to mankind and this whole situation is one of His ways.He knew this was coming and He knew for us believers to overcome this storm, is focusing on what He says about us in His word and proclaiming it from a place of faith.Let us not miss what God is saying to humanity.We are limited and we must all depend on God at all times ,we must get back to our creator and let the fear of the Lord be our fear and not the fear of this disease.

So,while the world is busy proclaiming fear: –

• We have to choose to proclaim faith and life in the midst of this situation.

• We have to choose not to allow fear and anxiety to control our lives. 

• We have to choose to guard our hearts.

• We have to choose to focus our minds on what is true in the midst of uncertain times. 

Don’t allow fear of what is happening around the world override your faith in what God says about you in His word.Psalm 121 (NKJV) I will lift up my eyes to the hills From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel, Shall neither slumber nor sleep.The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming In from this time forth, and even forevermore.Our Heavenly Father  has already said He shall preserve you from all evil and He means those words.

We may not be in control, but we can trust the One who is. We may not know the future, but we can know the God who does and as God’s children ,we have already been anointed to win.Take the necessary precautions but don’t allow fear to hold you down.
