An Experience With God

I believe most ladies can attest, they are very particular with hairdressers. Having an experience with a good hairdresser, who knows how to execute your hair perfectly, gives you great advice on styles which suit you well and creates a super atmosphere in her salon, as a woman, you will end up being a loyal client.
Personally, I had tried different hairdressers before but none could really execute what I really desired for my hair, until I encountered a hairdresser who understood my style. Since then to date I have been a loyal client because the experience I get from her services as a hairdresser!!! I hardly get that from other hairdressers. If somebody comes along to question my loyalty for having one hairdresser for years, I bet I will be at a comfortable place to say,I get great services and go ahead in asking that person to try out their services.
In my journey of Faith, I have encountered all manner of people, some will try to ask funny questions like, why certain believers are sooo committed to God’s work, why are they always in prayer meetings, why do they praise like crazy or why are they always giving, don’t they have anything else better to do with the money they give?
I know those who are crazy about Jesus like me, have encountered such questions but one thing I came to realize is, a man/woman with an experience with God, is never at the mercy of an argument. You can’t argue with a person, who has never encountered God personally neither can you argue with someone, who does not understand where God got you from.
Don’t stop pleasing God in the name of people’s opinions. The last time I checked, Jesus is the one who died for you and not that person, who is always criticizing your walk with God. They were not there when God delivered you from all manner of addictions, toxic relationships and bad habits. They were not there when God healed you, saved you from that accident and they were not there when God restored you.
Daniel and his three friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego had many encounters with God, from the Kings palace , the lion’s den to the fiery furnace but that is what fueled their boldness not to bow down to people’s pressure, no matter how hard they tried to incriminate their walk with God. Reading the book of Daniel, what happened when Daniel refused to bow? Daniel 6:24-28(MSG) Then the king commanded that the conspirators who had informed on Daniel be thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. Before they hit the floor, the lions had them in their jaws, tearing them to pieces. King Darius published this proclamation to every race, color, and creed on earth: Peace to you! Abundant peace! I decree that Daniel’s God shall be worshiped and feared in all parts of my kingdom. He is the living God, world without end. His kingdom never falls. His rule continues eternally. He is a savior and rescuer. He performs astonishing miracles in heaven and on earth. He saved Daniel from the power of the lions. From then on, Daniel was treated well during the reign of Darius, and also in the following reign of Cyrus the Persian. God made his life, a life of distinction.

Distinction does not come from a place of doing what pleases men but displeases God! Distinction comes from a place of pleasing God, even if it means displeasing people.

God is a God of honor, you might look crazy to some people for your relentless devotion to God but the good news is, God will honor you as you honor Him with every detail in your life. His promise still stands in Psalms 84:11For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
Stay on course, don’t bow to people’s opinions, don’t bow to their pressure either and they will come to know your GOD with time.
I have penned down, Know God for you, Your place of Authority & Being on fire for God,which are good reads to connect with this particular post
