Rare Gems

There is no greater joy like having someone who can correct you with love and be real with you at the same time, such people are rare gems. Nobody is perfect and in one way or another, we do make mistakes in life that we need to be called back to order. As much as they are rare gems, not everybody can fit in these shoes in your life. I know some people have faced criticism; they have been condemned and judged just because they committed a mistake. Some few weeks ago, my Pastor Bishop Allan Kiuna preached such a profound message on #BeingToBecoming and there are some points i  will highlight from that sermon to connect with this post.
Listen ladies!!!You need people who believe that you are greater than your mess and who will defend you in your absence. Yes you heard me right!!!They will defend you in your absence; they will not gossip you, malign you but they will correct you with love without bashing you. In Titus 2:3-5  Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good. These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.
From the above  context, we have guidelines of how the older, wiser women should conduct themselves in order to set a good example to the younger women. I believe there are countless young women out there, longing to have older wise women in their lives, who will not condemn them nor gossip them because of their mistakes but will offer them wise counsel and correct them with love.
Where am I going with all these???In my walk with God, I have learn’t the importance of having few older wise women in my life whom i can be accountable to, vulnerable with, who can be open with me without fear ,who can correct me, who desire the best for me and will celebrate me for me. Ladies, we all need such wise, older women in our lives but we need to seek God in connecting us with such women.
It’s not your mandate to run all over to any woman because she is older than you and pour your heart out to!! Not everyone is loyal, not everyone will celebrate you, not everyone will correct you with love and not everyone is for you. In the same way, women are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trust worthy in everything 1 Timothy 3:11.Only a godly woman who represents the Titus 2:3-5 is qualified to offer you wise counsel.

Take Note:-Embrace a teachable spirit, a heart that is mature enough to accept correction without getting offended.

It’s my prayer as women who are after honoring God and pleasing Him with our lives, we mature more into becoming the Titus 2:3-5.woman.Women who are going to love on our sisters, we will correct each other with love without bashing, we will not entertain gossip, we will not be jealous of each other’s achievements and we will celebrate and uplift each other.
Cheers to the old, wise women in my life who represent Titus  2:3-5 woman. You have proven without any shadow of doubt ,you have no time nor negative energy to gossip, malign, condemn, criticize or judge the younger women yet you offer correction firmly with love and full of wisdom. I value you, I thank God for you, I honor you and it’s my prayer, God will continually give you more grace and wisdom to mentor more young women in this generation.

Quote:-Counsel has to be seasoned with wisdom.Be careful who gives you counsel, you can get counsel from the wrong source and make foolish choices in life.
