Luke 22:31-34 (NLT)
31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. 32 But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.” Peter said, “Lord, I am ready to go to prison with you, and even to die with you.” But Jesus said, “Peter, let me tell you something. Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.”
From the above context of Scripture, we have Jesus beckoning Simon at what Satan had purposed to do in line with an oncoming crisis. He knew His closest circle of disciples would be faced with a crisis that would destabilize them, there confessions and stand would change for a period of time but He had prayed for them. This also applies to us as the body of Christ during this period of Covid-19 crisis. Whatever is happening globally is not a surprise to God.He had already anointed you and I for such a time as this, to walk through this storm and the best part is, He believes in our ability to trust Him in walking us through this season until it is over.
Are you aware Jesus is at the right hand of God making intersessions on our behalf that our faith should not fail? Romans 8:34-37 (NLT) Who then will condemn us? No one for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. This is not a season to draw back but a season to draw closer to God and allow Him to reveal Himself to us on a personal level.
Most of us had been accustomed to a life style of congregating with other believers in our home churches for fellowship ,which is not the case today. This only signifies that God wants to purge us as His bride on a personal level through separation. I know it’s not a comfortable season for most of us including me ,but it’s a place of great Spiritual awakening to those who will intentionally draw closer to God.However,I simply don’t understand why the devil keeps on forgetting that the Church is not what we do but who we are (THE BRIDE OF CHRIST).He can’t and he won’t stop the move of God.Romans 8:18-25(NIV) I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
Refuse to come out of this storm without a spoil. Whatever God has to ignite within you during this season, let it be stirred up for the revealing of His Glory.

As it was in the case of Simon, the enemy had asked for permission to sift him as wheat and this shows he does not play games when it comes to pursuing his agenda where God’s children are concerned. It’s pivotal for us to be sensitive and alert during this season of uncertainty and know the enemy’s main agenda is to distort our focus from God, loose our vision and purpose as to why God created us in the first place. Once he gets our focus and he gets a leeway to discourage us with this temporal situation, he has us where he wants. He will get us to compromise our faith, our character and our prophetic destiny. This is my caution to you my beloved, don’t allow the enemy to tempt you to do things or make stupid decisions out of this temporal situation.
In seasons of uncertainty don’t birth an Ishmael when the Promises of God are still valid.
In seasons of uncertainty don’t birth an Ishmael when the Promises of God are still valid.
My take: –
1.Stay grounded on the word of God and prayer.
2.Let your faith in God and His promises override fear.
3.Keep your hope alive.
4.Continuously declare and decree the word of God upon your life, your loved ones and your nation.
5.Don’t expose your eyes and ear gates to anything that will corrupt your mind.
6.Close any avenue that you know may open up to any form of temptation.
7.Have a proper realignment of the future than on the present.
8.Finally ,take all the necessary precautions relied by your Government.
May Your Hope be Rekindled Again as your Mirror on God’s Word.

Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.
