Be At Peace With Yourself

Hello Beautiful people, do you know it’s one thing to be forgiven and totally a different ball game to forgive your self? Yes, you messed like five years ago, one month ago or this morning but do you know, once you confess your sins to God, He forgives you and forgets? You are free forever from the penalty of the sin and it has no power over you and no one including satan, has the authority or the right to change or dispute God’s decision once He forgives you?
However, I’ve heard countless times when people say, “my past is haunting me” once things don’t flow the way they had anticipated. They get to a place of thinking maybe, it’s their past mistakes that are contributing to their lack of overcoming current problems, they go round in circles justifying their mistakes as the reason they can’t move forward or they feel trapped in the skeletons of their past, instead of looking at the trail of victories that God has enabled them to achieve in -spite of their shortcomings. It’s sad to note, lack of self- forgiveness leads to most people focusing on what went wrong or what might go wrong than what might go right.
My heart goes out to anyone struggling with self-forgiveness since I have been there before but that’s not my story today, after intentionally renewing my mind constantly with God’s truth. I know the kind of bondage anyone can experience due to lack of forgiving themselves and am fully aware of how lack of forgiving self, can derail anyone from progressing in life be it emotionally, relationally, mentally, socially, spiritually and even when it comes to physical health. The thought you might do the same mistake hinders you from allowing God to bring along meaningful relationships, new business ideas or new opportunities. The tendency of you not forgiving yourself only creates an avenue for personal barriers, be it consciously or unconsciously.
Please hear me out my beloved, failure to forgive yourself when God has already forgiven you and forgotten about your sins, only places you at a higher risk to sin more and more due to self-condemnation, guilt and doubt or you end up creating personal barriers that hinder you from progressing in life. Self-condemnation opens the door for Satan and his forces of evil to work on you with doubt and guilt while on the other hand, guilt will always hinder you from pursuing God since you are ashamed to enter His presence and doubt enslaves you to feelings of unworthiness.
Give yourself the same Grace that the Lord gives you and walk away from self-condemnation, guilt and doubt. If God has already forgiven you, why on Earth are you withholding yourself from experiencing the freedom to no more fear, no more stealing, no more lying, no more conniving, no more fornicating, no more gossip, no more unworthiness, no more adultery, no more jealousy, and no more sinning.

Forgive yourself and you’ll enjoy the benefits of being led by God, being in His presence and your heart will be at peace with yourself.

For as the heavens are high above the earth,So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
