Creating The Right Atmosphere.

Fish thrive in water; birds thrive in the air while plants thrive in the ground. God was very strategic in placing everything in its rightful habitat. During my free time, I like watching NAT GEO WILD channel, which show cases different kinds of nature. It’s interesting to note, there are animals you will find in specific parts of the world, where the atmosphere is right for them to thrive. So, there was this documentary, which was being featured of how a certain country was making plans to import specific animals in their own country.
It was not an easy process as many might think, there were certain conditions this country had to meet, in order to import these particular breed of animals. In order to survive, they had to create the right atmosphere in the orphanage where they would keep these animals. So, where am I going with all this???For us believers to walk in what God has designed for us to walk in and to be effective in our callings, in a world that is corrupted and blinded from truth, we have to intentionally create an atmosphere that will support the seeds God has deposited within us. How we shall experience the supernatural and enjoy every spiritual blessing, will only come from a place of creating the right a atmosphere on a daily basis.
First and foremost, I’ll divulge in explaining what is an atmosphere in regards to this post. An atmosphere is an ambience, aura, attitude, character or feeling we create, depending on:-
  1. What is happening around us
  2. Our mind set
  3. Our belief system.
We can either create the right or the wrong atmosphere in our lives, in our homes, in our assignments, in our marriages, in our communities, in our churches, in our relationships, in our careers or even in our businesses, depending on the three factors I have listed above.
1.What’s happening around us, plays a big deal on how God channels His blessings to us or how we limit Him. Let’s look in 2 kings 7:1-2 Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’ “So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, “Look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this thing be? “And he said, “In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it. This particular officer, chose to create an atmosphere of doubt by focusing on what was happening in Samaria than on what God was saying through Prophet Elisha. He failed to believe that God had the capacity to turn around the situation in Samaria within hours.
Let’s look at Numbers 13:27-30 Then they told him, and said: “We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there. The Amalekites dwell in the land of the South; the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountains; and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan.”Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it. Despite of a fearful atmosphere which had been created by the 10 spies, ,Caleb created a different atmosphere of hope.

From the above Scriptures , a lot is happening around us, which can be positive or negative, but what kind of atmosphere are we creating??The environment we create, will determine the blessings we receive, the barriers we overcome and the giants we conquer..

2.Our way of thinking is another way that determines the kind of atmosphere we create. A wrong mindset will always chock the seeds within us, while a right mindset will always nurture the productivity of seeds within us. In Numbers 14:1-4 So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! Why has the Lord brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?” So they said to one another, “Let us select a leader and return to Egypt.”
The children of Israel created an atmosphere of rebellion through a wrong mindset. They were not willing to enter the promised land yet they were willing, to choose another leader who would led them back to captivity.
Our second study on how our way of thinking determines the atmosphere we create, is in Numbers 14:6-9 But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes; and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: “The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them.”
While the children of Israel  were busy creating an atmosphere of rebellion, only two individuals from the crowd had a right mind set, Caleb and Joshua. They continued to create an atmosphere of victory and hope of getting to the Promised Land.

Our way of thinking will always determine the kind of atmosphere we create. Any negative thinking creates an atmosphere of defeat, failure, fear or rebellion which keeps the seeds that God has deposited within us dormant or chocks the seeds from growing. However the good news is, when we maintain a positive mindset and keep renewing it, to align with God’s promises, we create a conducive atmosphere for seeds within us to grow.We create an atmosphere to receive God’s blessings, we walk in the supernatural, we manifest our gifts and we end up living the victorious life that God intended for us.

3.Our belief system is the third factor that determines the kind of atmosphere we create. Depending on what we believe in, what we have gone through or where we are coming from, can work for us or against us, depending on how we choose to respond and act. In Acts 8:3 As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison. Due to the background Saul came from, His belief system worked against God’s kingdom agenda. He walked the path of religious extremism which created an atmosphere of persecution and fear among the Christians.
However in Acts 9 :20-22 Immediately he preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God.Then all who heard were amazed, and said, “Is this not he who destroyed those who called on this name in Jerusalem, and has come here for that purpose, so that he might bring them bound to the chief priests?”But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt in Damascus, proving that this Jesus is the Christ. One encounter with God changed Saul’s belief system and He later on created an atmosphere that represented Christ wherever He went.

What is your belief system???Do you believe what God says about you in His word or do you settle on what people say about you, where you are coming from or what you do for a  living?? Please listen, we are not called to be influenced by the world but we are called to influence the world with God’s kingdom truths, by creating an atmosphere of God’s presence for the supernatural to happen and for us to have dominion and authority as God’s children.

Creating the right atmosphere as sons/daughters of the most high God:-

1.We become atmosphere changers ,where we emanate the presence of God with whoever we come into contact with. (Lives are transformed).
2.We are able to receive and enjoy God’s blessings.
3.We walk into our inheritance and generations after us also reap the benefits.
4.We become conduits that channel hope, encouragement and healing to the wounded.
5.We overcome limitations and obstacles that say, we can’t do it.
6.We enjoy God’s favor which ultimately means, men have no choice than to favor us.
7.We experience and walk in the supernatural.
8.We see positivity instead of negativity even during storms in life.
9.We enjoy life than endure it, since we are fully aware our joy comes from the Lord and we intentionally choose to be happy.
10.We don’t allow our feelings to dictate our response and actions.
11.We attract people to Jesus who dwells in us.
12.Principalities/rulers of darkness, are rendered powerless and destroyed, when we take the authority given to us through Christ Jesus.

Today, make a choice to create the right atmosphere by keeping the right attitude and believing correctly ,for God to channel His blessings to you and through you.May people who come into contact with you experience God’s power and love through you.
