How have you packaged yourself???

Gift A

Gift B

I have blogged several posts sensitizing on how God is after the nature of our hearts, how he is interested with our motives as to why we do what we do. Looking from that angle, we still need to represent Him well as His ambassadors here on Earth. Above on my image section of this post, I have two gifts which are packaged differently but the content inside is absolutely the same. Gift A is well done and its presentation is eye catching while Gift B is plain and not eye catching. Now it’s your wedding anniversary or someone’s special in your life birthday, which gift are you going to spend more money for??Is it gift A or gift B??
I believe most of us will settle for gift A reason being, it clearly speaks the thoughts we have towards the person we are buying the gift for and how we value that person. So, where am going with all this???The way we package ourselves as believers is very vital in representing Christ in this dark world. It will be unfair if I fail to reflect on the life of Daniel in the book of Daniel, to drive this point home.
In Daniel 1 we have Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah who were taken as captives in Babylon after Judah was besieged. They refused the system of Babylon to dictate their actions, they refused to defile themselves yet they were impactful.Daniel 1: 18-20 Now at the end of the days, when the king had said that they should be brought in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar. Then the king interviewed them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore they served before the king. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm.
Hear me out !!The way you package yourself in order to have positive impact in this dark world, you have to be willing to be different, with a high level of humility and integrity without being spooky, rude, arrogant  or judgmental. At the end of the day, people will desire to know how they can tap into what makes you different.
Another thing we need to consider on how we package ourselves is, how we carry ourselves, how we work,  how we groom ourselves and how we accomplish tasks that are assigned to us. In Daniel 6:3 Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm. In this context, it’s very clear Daniel exhibited an excellent spirit, from the way He carried himself, the way he did things, the way he related with people, to the way he carried out his assignment which attracted the attention of a heathen King to honor and promote Him. Yes, The Spirit of God was working through Him, His power was evident for all to see but ahem, ahem, ahem this dude knew how to package Himself and he knew how to present God well in the Babylonian system.
So, how are you packaging yourself on a daily basis? Are you packaging yourself as gift A or gift B. After you are well prayed up in your prayer closet, do you put an effort on how you package yourself for the market place, for ministerial duties, for that assignment, for that business deal? You cannot give excellent services or excellent products and expect mediocre results nor can you give mediocre services or mediocre products and expect excellent results. Reflect on the life of Daniel and think about that ☝

I challenge my fellow brethren; put an extra effort on how you package yourself. That colleague in the office, that spouse, that child, that bus conductor, that celebrity, that neighbor, that hooker, that drug addict ,that Muslim sister, or whoever it is, you desire to know Christ ,they will only be curious of how they can tap into what makes you different not what makes you common.

The way you package yourself will play a big role in winning lost souls from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light.
