Exams! Exams! Exams let’s be real most people don’t like the idea of sitting for an exam. People grapple with anxiety few hours to a final exam, some have headaches , eating disorders, and others its stomach upsets. People who go through the phase of anxiety and tension it’s due to:-

They are not sure of themselves.

They have no rough idea of how the questions will be presented whether hard or simple depending on how they studied.
-
They don’t know the outcome because they are not sure if they will pass or fail.
-
Unrealistic demands for academic achievement by state education boards.parents and society.
Looking at the above four aspects, a lot of young people have failed to believe in themselves, which has resulted to huge cheating scandals in our education system. Honey!!! Listen, whatever you get out of compromise, you will always compromise to sustain it. You might not compromise in another exam but you will still compromise, to get a job or a promotion just because your conscious of integrity was compromised at an early age and you got away with it.
I came to realize great minds think, it’s not about the grade you attain but how you engage your mind to think. The intellect world which represents great minds, does not require spoon fed minds but great thinkers. I will advocate and congratulate a student who attained grade ‘C’ through his thinking than a student who attained Grade ‘ A’ which was compromised with no integrity. It’s good to excel but there is thin line,between excelling and cheating to excel . It’s sad to say we have rogue Doctors. Lawyers, and engineers on the rise, due to corruption in our education system .Today as i write, most companies are looking for competent employees who are great thinkers but they are scarce.
Addressing Parents:- kindly stop pushing your children against the wall,to attain good grades by constantly comparing them with other children performance. We will never be the same, some people are good in Mathematics, others it’s Literature, others its sports, others its Art and Music, so pushing them to attain good grades, only destroys their foundation of integrity.
Let me shock your bubbles, frustrated children will go to great lengths in compromising their integrity, by cheating in exams in order to please you as a parent. It’s sad to note,the generation of genuine people is diminishing at an alarming rate, due to pressure to please parents and a longing for approval by children. Once these children get away with cheating to attain good grades, they will eventually become mature citizenswho will find it difficult to settle for anything legit as citizens of this Country .
Parents! encourage and support your children where you can to study hard but accept the grades they attain. From a tender age, identify their talents and encourage them,to give their best at what they are good at,without any form of rebuke. They don’t have to be Doctors. Lawyers, Teachers or Pilots like you ,all of us have different potentials and gifting’s,at the end of the day.
Word for thought:-Take pride in walking in integrity and God Himself will honor everything you do.
