What about the scars???

.
People look fabulous when they attend church services, wedding functions or parties . Ladies look all glamorous, make up is always on point and to compliment it all, Gentlemen turn up looking sharp with a suave. Being in attendance to such an event, you will only judge by the looks but you will hardly know the people you meet for the first time. People keep on saying you can judge someone, just by the first impression but I disagree with that statement.
My rule is, you can’t judge someone by the first impression you must talk to that person to really understand him/her. Most of the times we admire people depending on how they dress, the cars they drive but once you know what they are going through, you end up thanking God for what you have. People all over the world have scars, be it believers or non-believers. What is a scar? It is a mark in the body with no physical pain but it is there.

The scars will either affect you positively or negatively, they can be emotional scars or physical scars.

Many people can relate to me, they have scars from the past but how they handle the scars is what really matters. God really impresses me with the women he profoundly used in the bible, most of them had issues from their pasts. He hardly settled for the good girls with no blemish. Look at Rahab, she was a prostitute and when God transformed her,the scars from her past did not limit God from using her.Despite of Ruth being a Moabite with a painful past her scar did not limit her from starting her life over again. We also have Joseph who had the scar of betrayal from his own brothers but that did not limit him, from saving his own people .I can go on and on, the list is way too long for people who God used despite of them having scars. We learn that their response whether positive or negative to the scars, determined how they handled issues of life and their relationship with God.
Scars can either make you bitter or a testimony to other people.

Do you know your positive response to your scars can heal a lot of people emotionally and save a lot of people from destructive habits and behaviors?

Nothing that happens to us is a surprise to God, He already has a way out of every situation. Look at Tamar, her response to her scar of being treated unfairly by her in-laws ended up conceiving with her father in law, after portraying as a harlot. Not being able to handle an emotional scar can led a confident lady to have low self-esteem, be insecure and unhappy.
People, who choose to have negative response to emotional scars, end up making harsh life term decisions which separates them from the will of God. Some people end up saying they will never get married, others after walking out of toxic relationships, make up their minds to destroy other peoples relationships just because one relationship did not work out.Scars are supposed to bring healing and deliverance but not resentment and bitterness.

Your scar should not pain but it should remind you of God’s faithfulness and Grace because you are already healed.

Lessons we learn from Scars:

  • We learn to be humble

  • We learn not to judge others

  • Mercy and compassion is birthed in us

  • We are always grateful for God’s grace in our lives

  • We become a testimony to others and give hope to those at the verge of giving up

  • We become sensitive to God’s voice.

You can bank on God’s word by believing what he has said:

1.You will have double honor instead of shame

Isaiah 61:7

Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.

2.God has promised to restore all that you lost.

Joel 2:25-26

So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, my great army which I sent among you.You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you;And My people shall never be put to shame.

3.God is more than willing to give you another chance.

Isaiah 1:18

Come now, and let us reason together, ”Says the Lord,“Though your sins are like scarlet,They shall be as white as snow:Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.

4.Salvation Guarantees you are a new creation in Christ Jesus

2 Corinthians 5:1

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

5.You are more than a conqueror.

Romans 8:37

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

We don not have a life experience,to determine the limits of our lives BUT to create a Better life for us.

Use your scars to make good decisions

I Love You And Am Praying For You.
