Know Who You Belong To.

.
Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of all. Ladies all over, are up in arms to impress the world by their looks, the way they talk, walk and dress. The Cosmetology industry is minting billions due to the fact, women want to change their looks and be like somebody else and who in real sense does not know her real identity. Don’t get me wrong on this, there is absolutely nothing wrong with applying make-up, making your hair beautiful or dressing elegantly to look good for yourself But there is a big problem when you enhance your boobs, thighs, change your skin tone or dress funny in order to impress people and be accepted by the world. Today as I write, the world has totally twisted the real meaning of beauty and has defined beauty as the outward appearance of a lady. Many young beautiful women are often smothered by lack of confidence and lack of acceptance from other people, which makes it easy to compare themselves to others especially when they compare their outward appearance.  God Himself has stated very categorically in Psalms 139:14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. Get this from me; we are all beautiful in God’s eyes as we are created in the image of God.

God doesn’t make junk. God’s word makes it clear that we are all beautiful to Him. Real beauty is from within, know who you are and whose you are.

To all beautiful damsels, stop the notion of changing who you are to please a guy who insists he desires a figure eight woman or a light skin woman, if he does not love you the way you are, honey kiss the brother boy goodbye. God in His manifold wisdom did not create you dark, short or tall by mistake; he gave you those physical features for His glory. Love yourself the way you are and trust me, people will accept the real you. God cannot bless the fake you but the real you!!! In 1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” God is not after our outside stature but our hearts.

Nothing and nobody should make you feel unworthy, you are already worthy in God’s eyes

Writing this post, am actually thanking God for where He has brought me from. Some few years ago roughly eight years, I was in a dysfunctional relationship, with a guy who never accepted me for who I was. He kept on saying that I should change this and that, in order for him to feel comfortable with me whenever we hanged out. I ended up being so frustrated, insecure, bitter and trust me when I tell you, I tried crazy stuff to fit in this guy’s world, which was detrimental for my self-esteem as a woman.Discovering my real identity as a child of the most high God, has enabled me to love myself, appreciate myself and definitely love and accept other people for who they really are. I simply don’t know the kind of reader, reading this post ,might be going through. For all struggling with low-self-esteem, insecurity and identity crisis, turn your focus on God and discover whose you are. Having the knowledge that God loves you unconditionally, is the beginning of loving yourself all over again.

Knowing your real worth helps you to:-

1.Make better decisions:-When you know yourself, you are able to make better choices about everything, from small decisions to big decisions which can solve life’s varied problems.
2.Self Control:-When you know yourself, you understand what motivates you, to do what you constantly do.This in return helps you  to resist bad habits and develop good ones
3.Resistance to social pressure :- When you are grounded in your values and preferences, you are less likely to say “YES” when you want to say “NO.”
4.Tolerance and understanding of others:- Your awareness of your own struggles can help you empathize with others.

Mirror on God’s word to discover your real worth:-

1 Peter 3:3-4

Do not let your adornment be merely outward arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

Ephesians 2:10

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Genesis 1:27

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Proverbs 3:15-18

She is more precious than rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.Length of days is in her right hand, In her left hand riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, And all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her,And happy are all who retain her

Proverbs 31:30

Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.

Jeremiah 1:5

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you;I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Colossians 3:1-3

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

You are created in God’s image and He does not make mistakes. To put yourself down or change who you really are, is an insult to God’s handiwork. You are out right Beautiful just the way you are.
