Don’t miss out on your season.

To wait on the Lord does not mean to sit down and do nothing When we are experiencing a rainy season In Nairobi, God is not partial to say the rain will only be experienced by certain people ,no, no, no the rich, the poor, the well prepared and the ill prepared will experience the rain. I came to realize, during the rainy season, there are a category of people who will always complain of flooding issues while there is a category who are always prepared for the rains. They prepare their fields with full anticipation, they will experience a bumper harvest after the rains.
You’ve been waiting for a job promotion, a baby, a spouse, growth in your ministry, a divine connection or a business opportunity but how well are you prepared, when your season shifts???
In Matthew 25:1-12 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
“And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut“Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
From the above scripture, we have a set of 10 Virgins, who knew for sure the bridegroom was on his way, to pick them up for a glamorous wedding. They had not defiled themselves however five chose to wait while well prepared, while the rest chose to wait for the bridegroom while ill prepared. The word of God categorizes the virgins into 2 groups:-
Five wise virgins and five foolish virgins

Take note :- All the ten virgins had lamps, they were all aware they needed oil for their lamps, they experienced the same delay and they were all aware of the promise by the bridegroom.

How well prepared the virgins were, determined if they would get ushered into their next season “marriage”. The 5 foolish virgins missed out on their next season because they failed to prepare in faith. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen Hebrews 11:1
We might be trusting God for different breakthroughs in our lives but our revelation, In regards to what we are waiting for, will determine how well prepared we are for the next shift. Preparation is key to accommodate new seasons in our lives and also to walk in blessings that come along with any season.

So how do you prepare for your next season??

  1. Stay focused on God and His promises.
  2. Sow good seeds
  3. Wait with an expectant heart, through words and actions of faith.
  4. Read God’s word and get to know the next instruction.
  5. Embrace new ideas since the world is constantly changing, seasons do change, needs still change and people do change.
  6. Refine your gifts and talents.
  7. Invest in books by authors who have made it. We acquire new information and kick out ignorance, which prepares us for the next season..
  8. Give your best shot in your current position.
  9. Have God’s revelation on what you are waiting for.
  10. Embrace the right attitude
  11. Have mentors who will offer you wise counsel.
  12. Through obedience, let go of whatever God instructs you to let go.
Are you experiencing stagnation or delays in your life ,due to missing out on a season?? Do you still want to walk in what God planned out for you??Your desire, persistence, passion and faith, is what will make God release what rightfully belongs to you, despite of missing it out.Through the covenant of Grace,we have the privilege of a second chance ,a second chance to repent,to make the right choices,to treat people well and to obey God’s instructions.
Please hear me out,Be intentional on making choices of who you’ll be and what you’ll accept. Your God ordained purpose for existence, is so precious for you to allow life just to happen. You are destined for greatness and greatness requires bold choices of faith and obedience

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven:

I have penned down Get to understand your season, which I believe is a good read to connect with this particular post.
