I can literally stare at beautiful buildings and in my head I’ll be like woo. There are different buildings with absolute different designs all over the world but do you know, the contractor behind the vision of the building is the real deal, in actualizing the final product? They will use the bricks you offer them but a keen, patient and committed contractor, will be able to offer you a final product that you will be well pleased with. This also applies in our own lives; situations we face in life they are more of bricks that life offers us but how we build our lives with these bricks is what really matters.
God has given you a vision but you as the contractor of this vision, how are you propelling the building God has assigned you which is your destiny? Are you allowing the devil to use the issues of your life to make you insecure, jealous, doubtful or fearful and instead of building towards God’s vision, you are busy using these bricks to build a life that does not represent Him?
I’ll be honest with you, whenever the enemy sees you pursing your destiny and standing on the promises of God even when nothing seems to be happening in the physical, he wishes he can convince you to give up on building a life that will glorify God.He does not want you to build the kind of life God desires for you! he is the ultimate deceiver who will not limit himself to the truth about your life because He knows: –
1.God has good plans for your future Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
2.There is an inheritance for you Ephesians 1:11-14 In Him also we have received an inheritance (a destiny we were claimed by God as His own), having been predestined (chosen, appointed beforehand) according to the purpose of Him who works everything in agreement with the counsel and design of His will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ (who first put our confidence in Him as our Lord and Savior) would exist to the praise of His glory. In Him, you also, when you heard the word of truth, the good news of your salvation, and (as a result) believed in Him, were stamped with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit (the One promised by Christ) as owned and protected (by God). The Spirit is the guarantee (the first installment, the pledge, a foretaste) of our inheritance until the redemption of God’s own (purchased) possession (His believers), to the praise of His glory.
3.And trust me on this, he knows what you can become when you begin to walk and tap into the fullness of God-Colossians 2:9-10 For in Him all the fullness of Deity (the Godhead) dwells in bodily form (completely expressing the divine essence of God). And in Him you have been made complete (achieving spiritual stature through Christ), and He is the head over all rule and authority (of every angelic and earthly power).
In John 8:44, Jesus calls him a liar and the father of lies. He’s been lying since the beginning of time. He lied to Eve in the Garden of Eden, and he’s been lying from generations to generations, so what makes you think, he will not try to use those same lies to deceive you, distract you, and separate you from God’s blessings?
The more you grow in your walk with Christ, the more the enemy will try and kill your influence and your passion for God through discouragement. He has one goal as stated in John 10:10-to steal, kill, and destroy your abundant life in Christ. However, you have to arm yourself with the truth of God in who you are in Christ. Don’t give him room to talk you out from what God says about you, don’t allow him to determine how you will build your life and don’t let him trick you into believing his lies.
God has great plans for you, and you are a glory reflector to the world. Don’t let the enemy steal that from you! Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and stand on His Word. Whatever you have been through does not have to be the end of you. God wants you to build with bricks that will reflect his Glory here on Earth.
