It has been said many times and I believe most who are reading this post we are aware, that the mind is a battle field the enemy is always looking for ways to attack .The mind game didn’t just start a century ago! Noooo…. It begun from the garden of Eden in Genesis 3:1-6 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”
4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
The enemy preyed on Eve’s mind with deception and her doubt in what her husband had relied to her in regards to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, created room for her to be tempted and fall into sin. This avenue of the mind game, is as old as the devil himself. Reflecting on this context of Scripture, its sad to note many believers minds have been polluted by doubt: doubt which creates an avenue for deception , doubt which creates strongholds , and proclivities that many people are struggling with and derailing them to live their God ordained life here on Earth. Pollution of the mind causes many people to miss out on what God wants to do in their lives and through their lives.
When people get exposed to all manner of negative reports from the media, people around them who are not founded on God’s truth or even false doctrines, they tend to see things differently away from God’s perceptive. Here is the catch, when your mind is exposed to negativity, criticism, intimidation, unfaithfulness, defeat and immorality sooner or later if you are not willing to hold those thoughts captive, you will start thinking towards those thoughts and before you know it! Your belief system will be programmed to act in a certain way.2 Corinthians 10:5-casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
Let’s look at Sarai in Genesis 16:1-2 Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. And she had an Egyptian maidservant whose name was Hagar. 2 So Sarai said to Abram, “See now, the Lord has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai. I bet Sarai had waited on God for too long and decided to help Him out, when she saw things differently when her mind became polluted with doubt. It’s important to note from the previous chapter 15, God had already promised Abram a son from his own loins and a Father of a great nation but the devil was swift to corrupt Sarai’s mind with a good idea which was not God’s idea.
We have to be alert that any prophetic word that comes from the Lord, always provokes the devil to pollute our minds. This is where the enemy uses deception and makes people who have been waiting on God for years, to think that He is taking too long to bless them and they end up giving up. But I want to submit to you today, the devil never has a blue print of our future, but once he gets a snippet preview of how the future will be through the prophetic, he will try all he can to sabotage it and one of his devices is the mind Game.
However, I have good news, it’s never too late to expose your mind to positive transformation and the Word of God is one sure bet for the mind to be totally transformed and think like Jesus.
So, how powerful is the Word of God in transforming our minds?
1.Each time you read and intentionally meditate on the Word of God , you unlearn what is not of God and your mind is fashioned to think in a new way. 1 Corinthians 2:16 (AMPC) For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.
2.Your Spirit man grows by the Word of God. John 17:17- Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
3.Our prayers become powerful when , we pray in the Word of God. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart
4.Jesus defeated the devil by the word of God. Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’
In this journey of life, there will be a battle to hinder you from getting your Rhema Word but keep this in mind Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17. Refuse to starve yourself from the Word of God which is the main component to transform your mind and your life. Fight the good fight of faith by having your personal Bible devotion. You don’t have to wait until Sunday to open your Bible during Sunday service! Every day have a fresh Word from God that will guide you through the day. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalms 119:105
Beloved, the reason the enemy finds access to penetrate in the lives of many believers is not only because of sin but lack of the Word dwelling in them. 2 Chronicles 15:3- For a long time Israel has been without the true God, without a teaching priest, and without law.
Take note:-Every day the mind will always be exposed to something that will try to pollute it but we can learn a lot from the life of King David, when He said in Psalms 119:11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. David knew the value of God’s Word and he hid it in His heart.

The main target of the devil in our lives is not our money, our marriages, our businesses or careers, it is the light in the Word of God that leads to revelation. Revelation in the Word of God is what will transform our minds on how-to walk-in prosperity, how to navigate in our marriages, how to live in our singlehood, how to run church ministry, how to manage our finances, how to relate with people, how to raise godly children, how to run our businesses and how to led people in leadership positions. One of the treasures God has given His Bride, is His Word.
We must be full of the revealed Word of God to be able to run with the Barton of the end time revival so that we won’t be moved by the enemy. I am here to decree and declare, the devil will never have the final say and we shall push in faith by the enabling grace of God, until we get into our destiny and fulfill our mandate in Jesus Mighty Name.
