The Mind Set Restored

Happy new week beautiful people, while intently listening to my spiritual Father Bishop Allan Kiuna preach yesterday, a powerful sermon on The Mind Set restored, it all became very clear, the enemy is not really after our relationships, our marriages, our finances, our careers or our families.
The enemy is strategically after our minds, he knows if he can have our minds, he has the perfect lee way to mess up with everything else in our lives.
Your mind is the real battle field that the enemy is after. He knows if your mind is renewed, your impact, your voice, your influence and your existence in general, is a sure threat to his agenda here on Earth.
Maybe you are in a place of asking God, why hasn’t He opened a particular door in your life, yet you perceive that’s where He is leading you? The issue is not God failing to take you into that place , circumstances in life trying to obstruct you or people trying to sabotage your progress? At times the real issue is usually your own mindset, failing to accommodate the new.
In spite of what is happening around us, we have to renew our minds with what the word of God says about any situation. We have to step through the next door, the next level or the next season in our lives, with renewed mindsets.

If we step into the new when our minds are not renewed , we ultimately end up taking old bricks from our past into the future, which means, building the same house that never sustained us in the past.

Matthew 9:16-17
No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse. Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.

How do you change your mind?

1.Accept the word of God as the final authority in your life.
2.Pursue knowledge.
3.Refuse to settle for less.
4.Set the standards of living for yourself, choose the level of your lifestyle.
5.Be open for change.

Mirror on God’s word to help you keep your mind on check:_

Philippians 4:8 (AMP)

Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things ( center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart).

2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP)

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but (He has given us a spirit) of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline (abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control).

Ephesians 4:21-24 (AMP)

If in fact you have (really) heard Him and have been taught by Him, just as truth is in Jesus (revealed in His life and personified in Him), that, regarding your previous way of life, you put off your old self (completely discard your former nature), which is being corrupted through deceitful desires, and be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind (having a fresh, untarnished mental and spiritual attitude), and put on the new self (the regenerated and renewed nature), created in God’s image, (godlike) in the righteousness and holiness of the truth (living in a way that expresses to God your gratitude for your salvation)

Colossians 3:2-5 (AMP)

Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above (the heavenly things), not on things that are on the earth (which have only temporal value).  For you died (to this world), and your (new, real) life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. So put to death and deprive of power the evil longings of your earthly body (with its sensual, self-centered instincts) immorality, impurity, sinful passion, evil desire, and greed, which is (a kind of) idolatry (because it replaces your devotion to God).

Romans 12:2

And do not be conformed to this world (any longer with its superficial values and customs), but be transformed and progressively changed (as you mature spiritually) by the renewing of your mind (focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes), so that you may prove (for yourselves) what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect (in His plan and purpose for you).
