Step Out In Boldness

Trust me when I tell you, it takes the strength of God to be at work in us to walk, talk and act in boldness. Boldness is not arrogance as some people may think, boldness as a believer, is living a life that represents God’s standards. We can attest today’s worlds standards are completely in conflict with God’s standards. People are embracing the free spirit age, where you can do what you feel like, as long as your flesh is having temporary satisfaction. Most people are being led by the small god known as feelings. When faced with a situation in the office or in your community outside the four walls of the church, most of us who know Christ, shy away from speaking or acting in truth.
We want to speak what people want to hear. No sugar coating here, you don’t want to be criticized, you don’t want any opposition or to be branded as being forthright. We want people to be okay with what we say; we want people to be comfortable in their sin because we are not stepping out in boldness to speak the truth. The truth will always offend some people in a bad way.in Mark 1:22 And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. It’s evident, even Jesus Himself had opposition yet He was confident and His leading was forthright. He never did things or spoke as per the crowd expectations,He did what Our Heavenly Father desired of Him
Trends are changing pretty fast; parents are embracing the permissive attitude in raising their own kids, who will continue their generation. They are afraid to share the truth or discipline their children because they don’t what to hurt their own kids. One thing they fail to understand is, He who spares his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him promptly Proverbs 13:24.I did not say that, God’s word clearly states that. A confused generation is being birthed because someone somewhere, is failing to do his/her part, in stepping out in boldness and do what is the right thing to do.
In 1 Kings 18:20-40 Elijah embraced a bold attitude and defied all the odds, he did what God had instructed Him to do. For people to acknowledge and reverence the true God of Israel. God had to send someone to Samaria, who would step out in Boldness and challenge the worship of baal. This clearly indicates, unless we step out in boldness, we will never create room for truth, which will facilitate deliverance and restoration to the lost world.
If all you look forward to, when you wake up in the morning is to please men than to please God, you are missing out on what God has designed you out to do. One day we shall stand accountable and give an account on how we lived. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ ,so that each one may receive good or evil, according to what he has done in the body 2 Corinthians 5:10
If its favor you want, trust me on this, Seek God’s favor first and He will grant you favor with the right people, who will not be intimidated or get offended with your standards. Stop getting comfortable with the whole notion of shades of grey.God does not recognize grey!!! It’s either you are black or white period. Any business person who has succeeded in what they do, they will attest, it takes boldness and risk to make an investment. Almost all testimonials I have listened from successful business people, they refused to sit back and enjoy their comfort zone, they refused discouragement to weigh them down, they refused critical people from pulling them down and they refused their current circumstances to hold them back .If that’s the path way to development and economic growth, then nothing just comes on a silver platter.
We must intentionally step out in faith without shying away, in what God is commanding us to do. The corporate world needs us, our schools needs us, our health sector need us and our nation as a whole, needs our input to make a change in this generation.
How will there be revival, if all we do is enjoy the comforts of being inside the four walls of the church? God’s instructions for us to step out in boldness, is not for our personal preference but to be effective for His kingdom business, inside and outside the four walls of the church. Don’t be motivated by popular trends, they will always suggest what you can do,what you cannot do to be accepted and they change as fast as they come. Evolving with technology is good but failing to be bold in order to stand out, is where we are getting it all wrong.
Am here to challenge all my blog readers, to walk in boldness.Trust me on this, You will be criticized, you might lose some fake friends along the way and you might also be branded names because of your standards but if God who created you is well pleased with you, that’s all you need. We will only make a positive change in our society and witness young people embracing their true identity in Christ, when we step out in boldness and stand on what God says in His word. We will only see revival in our Nation, schools and neighborhoods when we preach and live for Christ.

Lessons we learn from Prophet Elijah in 1 Kings 18:20-40:-

1.He boldly confronted what was false idol worship and established what was of God-True worship of Yahweh.
2.He used all available resources to establish God’s alter.1 Kings 18:31-35
3.He never conformed to Jezebel system of idol worship.
4.He had incredible faith that God would show up and show Himself strong 1 Kings 18:36
5.He was not intimidated  by the number of prophets of baal ,who were 400.He knew the true God of Israel  is all He needed.
6.He called on the name of the Lord with boldness in the presence of the prophets of baal 1 Kings 18:37-38

Take Note: After stepping out in Boldness and doing what God has told you to do, don’t run away from those who are opposing your stand like Elijah did. Elijah never understood that despite of all the threats Jezebel had towards him, they were just kicks from a dying horse. He served such a Big, Big God, who had already demonstrated His power by sending forth fire from heaven, so who was Jezebel to contend with God?? God had the power to protect Elijah from Jezebel, so Him running away from her, was not cool at all. Once you make the first step in doing what God has told you to do, be rest assured, God will back you up all the way despite the opposition you will face.
