Whose Need Is Greater???

.
What are your desires? Why are you doing what you are doing? Who is busy influencing you to do what you do? Great questions! Nobody does anything just for the sake of doing it, everybody has a reason to do what he/she does .God in His manifold wisdom created us with an interesting aspect,He is interested with  ‘the nature of our heart’ when we do whatever we do, on a daily basis.
It’s sad to say, the uprising of the new age era, where the world is embracing liberal thinking, has killed the conscious part of mankind. People tend to do what is fit for their fleshly desires, they connive, they gossip, they are envious and are busy bringing other people down to uplift themselves, they kill in the name of religion, they twist God’s nature about sexuality which definitely reflects the power of motivation.

As a born-again believer, you need to know your main source of motivation, should be Jesus Christ and not mere men

When the world is crazy with its ideologies of doing things, we have a better plat form where we source our motivation from God.Knowing Jesus and yearning to please Him and not men, generates a heart desire to do things differently from the world. From the way we relate with people, our lifestyles, our careers, our marriages, families, or businesses must have a source of motivation which should be , to embrace a heart after God’s own heart.
Trust me when I tell you, it’s totally impossible to please men and God at the same time, you either choose one. If you are after pleasing God in whatever you do, you will not please everybody, some people will be critical and tend to side line you but if you are busy doing whatever you are doing to please men and get approval from them, Honey! You are in big trouble. You end up becoming a slave to men, who are definitely terrible gods and end up doing crazy stuff, trying to please them; hence you lose yourself in the middle of all that.

Everyone reading this post, does Jesus really matter in whatever you do? Is He the main motivation, you are doing what you constantly do?

We need to have a clear perspective  that we have to meet His needs first, for His will to be perfected in our lives.

Understanding the Desires of God over your life:

1.Whose need is greater?
God holds the keys for your life. You belong to Him and not yourself. It’s all about you fulfilling His purpose and not your purpose. Stop making vows on what you will do for Him, when He blesses you yet you are unfaithful with the little He has given you.
Matthew 6:10
Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
2 Corinthians 5:9
Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.
Colossians 1:10
That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Job 42:2
I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.
Proverbs 19:21
There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand
2.Who are you making those preparations for?
Whatever you do must demand the audience from God and not men. God will never share His glory with anyone or anything. The voice of God is always instructing and rebuking us to follow His will as long as we are yielding to His will. So what is your motive when you are serving, working or relating with people?
Colossians 3:2
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
Matthew 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Proverbs 20:5
Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water, But a man of understanding will draw it out.
Ephesians 5:17
Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
3.Are you willing to Decode God’s voice?
When you are in sync with Him and your motivation is to know Him, God draws you near to Himself. It becomes possible for you to recognize His voice and obeying Him becomes easy.
John 10:27
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
Romans 10:17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Isaiah 30:21
Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk in it, whenever you  turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.
John 16:13
However when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth: for He will not speak of His own authority; but whatever He hears He will speak: and He will tell you things to come
4.What are you willing to forsake to please God?
Following and pleasing Jesus is real work; it requires diligence, discipline, trust and humility. There has to be distinction between you and the world.
Deuteronomy 5:33
You shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.
Deuteronomy 13:4
You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him.
Matthew 10:38
And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

A genuine motive will season your actions and bring out the best version of you.
