Trust me!!! God has been very patient with us.

Helloooooo……
Honestly speaking!! Am not that kind of a patient person. Some years ago, if we made plans to meet at noon, trust me i would be there 20 minutes before noon. If you delay by 10 minutes, trust me also I’d be gone and you won’t find me. God is totally working on my patience with people because patience is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Am just being real in my walk with God . Many times I have jerked up but His patience for me is completely perfect. In the book of Luke 15:11-32 Jesus illustrates of how our Heavenly is patient with us, even when we mess up big time. Despite of the young son blowing up all his inheritance, his Father never gave up on waiting on him to return Home. He was completely patient and on his return he received him back with great love. Most of us can hardly stomach people who get into our nerves and we are too quick to judge .God does not see people the way we see them, even with all flaws they might possess. God sees them with such perfect love and he is totally patient. At times i ponder of how God is patient with Mankind, Looking at the children of Israel, despite of Him taking them out of captivity from the Egyptians, they still had the audacity to select a leader to take them back to Egypt, where they were in captivity. Nehemiah 9:17 They refused to obey, And they were not mindful of Your wonders, That You did among them. But they hardened their necks,And in their rebellion. They appointed a leader-to return to their bondage. But You are God,Ready to pardon,Gracious and merciful,Slow to anger,Abundant in kindness and did not forsake them.God  still gave them another chance. I see His patience throughout the Gospels as Jesus His only begotten son, is being rejected and forsaken.

Do you know God does not  have to learn patience?? He is patience , He is not developing it. He continually displays it.

I am grateful that I can count on the fact that my Heavenly Father is very patient. He is patient towards the world even when they use that patience as a reason to mock, rebel, and blaspheme. I never want to presume upon His patience in a self-centered way, but I am grateful that I can depend upon it every day and every moment until that glorious day when I shall see Him and be like Him.

To sum it up, God’s restrains Himself because He does not desire you to perish but return to true repentance.

Mirror on God’s truth and know that He is Patient all by Himself :-
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all long-suffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.
Numbers 14:18
The Lord is long-suffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation

And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abounding in goodness and truth

Jonah 4:2
So he prayed to the Lord, and said, “Ah, Lord, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in loving-kindness, One who relents from doing harm.
1 Peter 3:20
Who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine long-suffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water

But He, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity,And did not destroy them.Yes, many a time He turned His anger away,And did not stir up all His wrath;
Romans 2:4
Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
2 Peter 3:15
And consider that the long-suffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you,

God doesn’t just show us patience. He is Patient. It’s how He defines Himself.
